Country Thunder Alberta will roar once again at Prairie Winds Park this August 17-19, 2018. Today organizers announced the front end of another jaw-dropping line-up for Calgary’s premier live country music event.

This is just the beginning: Another major headline artist, as well as a number country music’s hottest up-and-comers, and legendary acts who have stood the test of time will be part of a second wave of announcements in time for Christmas.
“We are proud to create the ultimate city festival experience for our fans in Calgary again in 2018,” says Country Thunder Music Festivals CEO, Troy Vollhoffer. “We are incredibly excited to announce this first part of what will be a dream line-up for Country Thunder Alberta.”
No stranger to superstardom, Toby Keith, a hall of fame songwriter, and arguably one of the most successful artists in country music history, will bring the house down with his incredible live show, featuring many of his 20 number one singles, including the 2015 smash, 35MPH Town.
Brody will hit the stage just prior to Keith on what promises to be a rip-roaring Saturday night at Prairie Winds Park. The multi-Juno and CCMA award-winning artist broke first in the U.S. with his 2008 hit, Brothers.
Since that time, he has amassed six best-selling albums, 11 top-10 singles and numerous sold-out concert tours en route to becoming the biggest Canadian country artist of the past decade.
Eric Church needs no introduction whatsoever, and Country Thunder Alberta fans have been giddy since his announcement during the 2017 festival.
Church became a legend in these parts when he refused to cancel his March 10, 2017 Saddledome show due to heavy snowfall on the arena’s roof, instead choosing to perform a stunning, production-less, three-hour mostly solo acoustic show.
