The Gateway Pediatric Dentistry WildOnes Kids MaraFun is a unique race format that allows young people ages 4-12 to participate in their first race. On race day the course is 1.2 km but the kids are encouraged to do a 4-6 week training program to log their kilometers. If they get up to 41 km by race day they will complete their first “MaraFun” on the course! Don’t forget to check out the Race Village in St. Albert, which includes a kids’ fun zone, live entertainment, food and beverages and much more!
New for 2022!
We are excited to bring the WildOnes MaraFun to more communities! Our WildOnes MaraFun racers will have the following options for participation:
- Virtually -Have fun making your own 1.2K race route and run whenever you want!
- St. Albert; in person- The WildOnes MaraFun will also be returning to its original home in St. Albert at Lions Park on May 15, 2022.
- Sherwood Park; in person- MaraFun racers can now join us for an in-person race in Sherwood Park on Saturday May 14, 2022 at this satellite location.
- Spruce Grove; in person – MaraFun racers can also now join us for an in-person race in Spruce Grove on Saturday May 14, 2022 at this satellite location.
Please note that the St. Albert WildOnes MaraFun will still be a part of the entire St. Albert RunWild event, including the 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon races, as it has in previous years. The new satellite WildOnes MaraFun events in Sh
