BIG VALLEY JAMBOREE 2018

Camrose, AB—After celebrating a milestone of 25 Years in 2017, Big Valley Jamboree is coming back in August 2018 to pick up where we left off with old friends, a brand new batch of performers, and Country for Everyone.

Thomas Rhett

Our first announcement and Friday night’s headliner, Thomas Rhett will help us get the party started on a high note. His latest album, Life Changes, is an earnest reflection on the life that’s led him to country fame, chronicling the ups and downs of his journey with a contagiously optimistic outlook. His fun and lively on-stage persona will get fans dancing and singing along, as he plays the weekend’s party anthems. Blending genres into a smooth mixture of classic and modern influences, Thomas Rhett shows us there truly is country for everyone.

Alabama

75 million album sales, over 30 records at #1 on the Billboard charts, and more than 40 years of redefining the country genre only scratch the surface of the influence and success Alabama has had in the world of country music. They were one of the first acts to fuse country with southern rock, pop, and gospel, and they paved the way for the countless genre-bending artists who have followed in their wake. We’re honoured and excited to announce these country legends will be joining us at next summer’s Big Valley Jamboree.

Florida Georgia Line

Florida Georgia Line will be appearing as our Sunday night headliner. Since their album Dig Your Rootslanded at #1 on the Billboard charts, Florida Georgia Line has established themselves as one of the biggest acts in country. On the heels of The Smooth Tour with Nelly and Chris Lane, Florida Georgia Line is ready to give us the performance of a lifetime.

The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band

The Thursday night Kickoff Party welcomes back one of the most influential bands in the history of country music, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. Performing together for over 50 years, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band has helped define the country rock and roots music sound, earning multiple Grammy, IBA, and CMA awards and nominations. Their album Will the Circle Be Unbroken has been inducted into the US Library of Congress and the Grammy Hall of Fame.

Brett Eldredge

BVJ first-timer, Brett Eldredge, will also be appearing Sunday night. Brett is known for being a passionate crooner, and his vocal style is lifted by the emotional honesty in his music. He’s  known by many for his often viral online wit; but most of his fans know and love him for his  personal side, which Eldredge captures on his recent self-titled album, as he dives deep into love, loss, and the humbler moments in life.

Jess Moskaluke

After her unfortunate cancellation due to last year’s weather, we couldn’t wait to get Jess Moskaluke back on the main stage to give her fans the performance they deserve. Moskaluke has been hard at work on her upcoming release Past the Past, featuring the singles “Drive Me Away” and “Kill Your Love”, which is due to release November 3rd. Born and raised in small town Saskatchewan, her music reflects her transition from simple roots to country stardom and all the struggles that come with it. All that hard work has earned her numerous CCMAs, Junos, and a place in country history.

Billy Ray Cyrus

For almost thirty years Billy Ray Cyrus has been one of country’s brightest stars, selling millions of albums and charting dozens of timeless backroad classics. Since his debut album held the #1 spot on the Billboard chart for 17 weeks he’s continued to release hits that helped shape the sound of modern country. He’s shown talent for writing, acting, and been producing TV and movies, but a guitar and a microphone will always be his tools of choice.

Danny Hooper

Celebrating his 25th year as Big Valley Jamboree’s Master of Ceremonies, Danny Hooper will mark the occasion with a performance on his very own stomping grounds, our main stage. Known for his charismatic personality and role in the local country community just as much as his music, we’re proud to say Danny Hooper is a part of the BVJ family.

Tickets go on sale to the general public November 6, 2017, 10:00 AM.
