Zac Brown Band Same Boat #1 on ACC with Kix Brooks

Kix Brooks and ACC are on CISN Country 103.9 Edmonton and Country 105 Calgary Saturday 8 AM to Noon.

Zac Brown Band Same Boat is #1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, followed by American Country Countdown.

“We wrote Same Boat to help remind us of what we have in common and what makes us human. I’m really grateful that our fans are listening and connecting with that feeling of togetherness and unity. It’s what makes our country great, and gives us all a little hope this holiday season.”

Zac Brown Band now has 16 career and 14 Billboard Country Airplay #1 songs.

Same Boat is the first single from ZBB’s seventh album, The Comeback.

“I’ve tried to capture little shades of the human condition on this album. I hope we made a really classic album, and people find something they can really personally relate to that makes them feel something. That’s my wish.”

Same Boat was co-written by Zac Brown, Jonathan Singleton and Ben Simonetti.

“When I feel like I have something to write that’s helped me to understand all the weirdness or something that’s going on, that’s when I feel comfortable turning it into a song. I’m not going to take a political stance as an artist, because that’s just going to create enemies on one side or the other. Where I do have some influence is philosophically. I had something that’s meant something to me in rebuttal to all this division that’s happening, and I wanted to create something that would help to remind people of how we’re the same. I just wanted to throw some light out there for people.”

“Without our fans, we’re nothing. And that’s what immediately we were reminded of when all this (COVID-19) happened. By ourselves, we’re worthless. It takes all the people to make it work.”

“Same Boat is really about the human condition. It’s about how we all go through the same things, all together. It is a chance to be able to remind people to be positive, be good to each other and show empathy. You don’t know what it’s like to walk around in someone else’s shoes. We’re all human beings. Let’s spread some love around and show kindness to each other.”
