Scotty McCreery You Time #1 on ACC with Kix Brooks

ACC with Kix Brooks is on CISN Country 103.9 Edmonton and Country 105 Calgary Saturday’s 8 am to Noon.

Scotty McCreery’s You Time is #1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, followed by American Country Countdown.

“To country radio, thank you so much for making this song my 4th #1! I appreciate y’all more than you know and can’t wait to see you on the road soon to celebrate it with you!”

“This song, like so many of my songs, was inspired by my wife Gabi as well as my desire to spend more time with her in the midst of our busy careers.”

“10 years is a long time to get to be doing this. So I’m grateful that I can still make country music and travel the world, and people will show up and actually sing my songs back to me. It’s amazing. And I’ve definitely learned a lot about country music, about myself as a person and an artist. Hopefully, I’ll continue to grow and learn. These last 10 years have been awesome, and I’m just looking forward to the next 10.”

You Time is Scotty’s fourth Billboard Country Airplay #1 and the first single from his recently released fifth LP, Same Truck.

“I really love just writing about where I’m at in life. I’m not the guy that can just pull something from thin air and write a song about it. I gotta know it. I gotta live it, love it, that kinda thing. So I do write a lot of personal songs. That’s just my nature.”

  3. It Matters To Her
  4. Damn Strait
  5. It’ll Grow On Ya
  6. The Waiter
  7. Why You Gotta Be Like That
  8. Home
  9. Carolina To Me
  10. Small Town Girl
  11. That Kind of Fire
  12. How Ya Doin’ Up There

You Time was written by Scotty McCreery, Frank Rogers and Aaron Eshuis.

“I wrote this song with Frank Rogers and Aaron Eshuis in 2019, but it still feels brand new. Now that I’m back on the road, it’s been fun to see the audience get excited and dance when we play You Time. It gets a great reaction from the crowd every night. I appreciate country radio for playing and supporting the song, my label Triple Tigers and management. Most of all, my gratitude is to the fans who are always there for me. Having You Time hit #1 is a great way to celebrate 10 years of making music.”

“When I wrote this song, I was on the road more than I’d ever been. I’d get home just in time to see Gabi heading off to work so I was really craving You Time with her. We wanted to capture that experience in the video plus we’ve got a really fun cameo so be sure you watch till the end!”

Scotty McCreery’s new song is Damn Strait, filled with references to the great George Strait.

“The first country music concert I ever went to was George Strait, Reba McEntire and Lee Ann Womack. When I saw that show, I said, I’m gonna do that one day.”

“This is one of the songs on the album that I didn’t write. And for me to sing a song that I didn’t write, it has to almost feel like one that I could have written. You know, I have to believe it, and I have to feel it and love it. As soon as I heard “Damn Strait,” I was like, Man, it’s an incredible song, so well written. And I’m a massive George Strait fan. I thought that Trent Tomlinson and Jim Collins did a really good job of writing a classic country heartbreak song, all while paying homage to the king, George Strait.”
