Lovin’ On You was written by Luke with Thomas Archer, Ray Fulcher and James McNair.

“Number one for me is always to write better songs. We’ve had a lot of success and I’m very thankful for that, but I always want to get better at that.”

It’s the fourth single from Combs’ second LP, What You See Is What You Get.

“I just kind of had that idea lovin’ on you, and wanted to write something fun, real kind of country and honky-tonky kind of thing. I was just in the throes of love and there we go, that’s kind of it.”

In October, Luke Combs will release a deluxe edition of the album titled What You See Ain’t Always What You Get, it will include five new songs.

This week, Luke posted a clip of a new song, Forever After All, that will appear on the deluxe edition.

The 2020 CMA Awards nominations were announced on September 1st.

Luke Combs had six nominations, including the coveted Entertainer of the Year.

Luke on the Entertainer nomination,

“It’s pretty crazy. It’s been shocking to say the least. You’re kind of up in the big leagues.”

Luke’s nominated twice in the song of the year category for his track; Even Though I’m Leaving and for co-writing the Carly Pearce-Lee Brice duet, I Hope You’re Happy Now.

“It’s a dream come true for somebody that writes their own stuff. Having won that award last year was just really really really special.”
