So Taylor Swift released her new album “Lover” and it has a song on it called “Soon You’ll Get Better.” It’s a song he wrote about her Mom’s battle with Cancer and it features the Dixie Chicks. What do you think?
She told Entertainment Weekly about how hard it was not only to write the song, but to even put it out for you to hear. “That was really, really hard to write, and it was just a family decision whether to even put it on the album,. We as a family decided to put this on the album, and it’s something I’m so proud of, but it’s just really hard. I can’t sing it. It’s hard to just emotionally deal with that song.”
Her Mom Andrea is 61 and was first diagnosed with Cancer four years ago. After the Cancer had gone into remission, she and her family got the sad news earlier this year that it had returned. Taylor opened up in an essay to Elle earlier this year about dealing with serious illness in her family members.
“I’ve had to learn how to handle serious illness in my family. Both of my parents have had cancer, and my mom is now fighting her battle with it again. It’s taught me that there are real problems and then there’s everything else. My mom’s cancer is a real problem. I used to be so anxious about daily ups and downs. I give all of my worry, stress, and prayers to real problems now.”
