The internet can be a sad, hateful place sometimes thanks to social media and Tenille Arts had to deal with that after she did the Canadian National anthem before game 3 of the NBA Finals
You can read the hateful, negative, nasty comments directed to her on social media after that performance here, but I got to chat with her today about her nerves leading up to the performance and when she found out about the online reaction after she was done
Like a true professional, she did not fight back or get into an unnecessary twitter fight with keyboard warriors, although I’m sure she wanted to. I talked to her about how hard it was to NOT say anything back to the haters
Thankfully, she didn’t have to fight back, she had incredible online and personal support from her country music family. Artists like Garth Brooks, Brett Kissel and Dallas Smith!

Singing the anthem is REALLY tough. It’s the best song in the world, yet the hardest song in the world to sing. You’ve got the most pressure imaginable, and still Tenille Arts did a GREAT job. To all the negative people out there who took to social media to express how “bad” the anthem was – You’re wrong! And here’s why you’re wrong… #NBAfinals #GoRaptors #OCanada 🇨🇦
Thia isn’t the first time Tenille has been on National TV in front of millions of people, she’s been on The Bachelor/Bachelorette TWICE!
So which TV performance gained her more social media attention?
Now that the whole anthem thing is behind her, we can focus on her new amazing song “Call You Names”
