[WATCH] The emotional moment Humboldt Broncos player returns to the ice for the first time since the crash

It’s been almost 9 months since the horrific bus crash involving the Humboldt Broncos that claimed the lives of 16 people.  Broncos Defenceman Layne Matechuk suffered a brain injury that kept him in hospital until he was finally released in early October. The brain injury affected his speech and movement on the right side of his body. Last night, his father Kevin posted a series of inspiring and emotional videos of Layne back on the ice, wearing his Broncos jersey with pride as he began to skate and shoot again.

Keep fighting, keep working and keep inspiring us Layne! ICYMI yesterday, Jaskirat Singh Sidhu, who was the driver of the semi that caused the crash, pleaded guilty to all charges.
