The past few days have been extremely emotional and the pain won’t be going away anytime soon…especially if you have a close connection to someone involved in the deadly Humboldt Broncos bus crash. Yesterday, I shared a couple tribute videos with you including “Small Towns and Big Dreams” from Paul Brandt with new words dedicated to Humboldt. You can watch that here. Today I was going through the messages on the CISN Country Facebook page and couldn’t believe how many people sent me this new video. Everyone from Craig to Becky to Staci and Chantelle…who sent this message along with the song
“Hey! I’m not sure if you’ve seen this video yet.. but for me, music has always been a way of healing. I was so moved by Paul Brandt’s new version of small towns and big dreams and I felt those same things when I listened to this man sing. I am hoping that in addition to all the love, cards, and words of support these families have been receiving, they also find some healing through music.”
As I said yesterday, we all get through tough times like this in different ways, Jason needed to write this song and that’s one of the things I love most about music…it helps us heal. I was scrolling through my social media last night and saw all the posts of my friends leaving sticks outside and I couldn’t help but cry again.
