Country music lost singer Daryle Singletary Monday morning, according to publicist Don Murry Grubbs. He was just 46 years old. The cause of death is unknown.
He was best known for hits “Too Much Fun” and “I Let Her Lie” and “Amen Kind of Love.”
My only Daryle memory was the 2002 BVJ when Daryle played at the kickoff party. After the show I actually went on a exhibition ride like the sling shot as I remember (there may have been beers invovled) and we recorded something to play on CISN. He had a traditional and strong country music voice and had just played a few nights ago. He survived by his wife Holly of 14 years and their 4 children.
Recently Daryle tweeted about the honor of performing at Mel Tillis memorial service.
